Essex Wood: June

By Sally Pudney on 20th June 2016

I’ve been working hard for the last three days, and have just finished the sixth BIG painting in my Essex Wood series. I took some photos as it went along, so here are a couple of working shots and then the finished painting.

It’s hard to believe that I have now completed half of my Essex Wood project. Only six more big paintings to go – and already I’m looking forward to painting the colours of autumn in my wood!

I heard this morning on the radio that today is the summer solstice, not tomorrow, 21st, because this year is a leap year – which sort of makes sense! Not much summer here though – it’s been pouring with rain for much of the day, with only a little sun this afternoon. But wherever you are, and whatever the weather – Happy Summer Solstice!! 🙂
