From my October Garden

The tenth in this series, From my October Garden is now on the Gallery page. A little shot of colour on what is a dark and drizzly Friday morning at the Anvil House!

This one shows two hardy fuchsias. The lighter coloured one on the right I bought from Bodnant Gardens in North Wales, and is a named variety called ‘Lady Bacon’. The one on the left was given to me as a little rooted cutting by a friend. They have both grown into quite big bushes – Lady Bacon is about four feet tall and just as wide –  and have both been covered in flowers all the summer. But now, when so many of the summer flowers are over, and they are still going strong, I thought they should be the stars for October. I hope you enjoy them 🙂
