So, here is number ten in my ‘Twelve Months in an Essex Wood’ project.

Essex Wood: October

This is near the main entrance to the wood – it is down the first stretch of track looking back up the slope towards the entrance. The trees were beginning to turn, and there were many fallen leaves, but there was still a lot of green in the canopy.

I made my November visit to the wood last week. The whole wood seemed golden and glowing as I walked in. It’s going to be a difficult choice what to paint for picture number eleven! 🙂
