Watching the birds
I spent an hour in my studio today, in the early afternoon, not painting but taking part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Bird Watch. I have a good view of all the bird feeders from the studio windows, and settled down with paper and pencil, and my camera set on it’s ‘Through Glass’ mode, in case anything really exotic turned up!
None of my three favourites – the wren, the jay or the song thrush – had put in an appearance, but I had counted up to nine species and thought that I was doing quite well . . . . .
. . . . . and then someone else appeared and thought they would do a BIG garden bird watch . . . and I don’t think our motives were quite the same . . .
Hope your week goes well. 🙂
