‘Aldeburgh’ and the Anglian Arts Project

By Sally Pudney on 11th August 2019

I’ve just finished the latest painting in my On the Edge series – here is Aldeburgh!

Aldeburgh

Aldeburgh under a rather stormy sky, far along at the end of the northern end of the beach featuring Maggi Hambling’s Scallop Shell. I have to say that the colours are not very accurately represented in this photo! I fiddled around with it for ages but I couldn’t get a better match for the actual painting. I may try again in a different light when I have time, and see if I can improve on this!

Anglian Arts Project:  I have started making my usual visits to the professional artists whom we have invited to exhibit with us this year. Although this is an entirely new project, it is, of course, related to the arts festivals which Graham and I ran for a number of years. The preparation is much the same.  As I now have a designated page on my website for this, I will not be including the info about the artists here  on the blog as well. So do click on Anglian Arts Project on the menu bar and you can see photos of the first two artists with images of their work, and information about how you can find more about them. I’m visiting another two this coming week, so keep checking back!
